What Does Golden Knight Do?
Golden Knight is a high-hitpoint melee troop that fights normally until his Dashing Dash ability is activated. For 1 Elixir, after a short delay he dashes to the nearest ground target in range, then keeps dashing to the next closest enemy, chaining up to 10 hits across different targets in a single activation.
He's briefly invulnerable and hits harder during each dash, which lets him punch through spells and defenders that would normally trade with him. The ability only targets ground units - air troops are completely ignored, no matter how close they are.
Where Golden Knight Fits
As a Champion, Golden Knight doesn't return to your card cycle until he's defeated, so he's built to stay on the board and do work rather than cycle through quickly. He works both defensively, tanking hits while clearing swarms with his dash, and offensively, following up a defensive stand with a counterpush once the board is clear.
How to Counter Golden Knight
Air troops are the cleanest answer - his dash ability can't touch them at all, so a Balloon or Lava Hound push can go largely unanswered if he's your only defender nearby.
Timing matters too - if his ability is on cooldown when he's deployed, he's just a normal melee troop for that window, making high-DPS single-target units a real threat to him until Dashing Dash is ready again.
