How Hero Giant Works

Hero Giant plays reactively rather than proactively - defend first using Mega Minion and Bomber or Firecracker, then commit to a push once you've saved up Elixir. Hero Giant tanks the front while Prince and Dark Prince deal the real damage from behind, with Rage or Poison clearing the way.

The deck's biggest weakness is air pressure - once Mega Minion has been spent defensively, most Hero Giant builds have very little answer left for a Balloon or Lava Hound push.

How to Beat Hero Giant

Punishing Hero Giant's reactive playstyle is the key - if the deck has already spent Mega Minion or Bomber on defense, an air-heavy push can go largely unanswered.

Baiting out Rage or Poison before committing your real push also removes most of the deck's ability to force a bad trade in its favor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Hero Giant deck in Clash Royale?

Hero Giant is a control-beatdown hybrid: defend cheaply, then push with Hero Giant tanking for Prince and Dark Prince while Rage or a spell clears the way.

What trophy range does Hero Giant work best in?

Hero Giant decks tend to perform well from Arena 13 onward, once Hero cards and their supporting Legendaries are more commonly unlocked.

How do I beat a Hero Giant deck?

Air troops are a real weakness for most Hero Giant builds - Lava Hound or Balloon pushes can be difficult for these decks to answer, especially if Mega Minion has already been used defensively.

Which Hero Giant variant should I use?

Double Prince hits hardest. Dark Prince trades some power for better swarm defense. Poison Control is slower but more forgiving on defense.
